The BiG Friday Edit | 7

Happy Friday!

I did the early start at work today which means I’m free at 4. Can not wait!

In the meantime…

The Work Edit: You might have seen on Instagram that I spent Tuesday afternoon at Anderson & Sheppard for a shoot for a new project. The store is absolute heaven in terms of colour – bright pops of every shade imaginable against a white backdrop of built-in bookcases and shelves. If I could move in, I would! For now I’ll settle for the photography delight it brought me.

The Health Edit: My life right now seems to be up, barre, work, sleep, repeat. As of next Friday I’ll be taking a break from Barrecore for a while to mix it up and try something different, so I’m making the most of the classes in my final days. I so enjoy them but I know my body will appreciate a change and new challenge for now. I definitely want to give indoor rock climbing another go and it’s been a while since I’ve sparred in the boxing ring so watch this space for updates!

The Shopping Edit: After multiple Asos orders and returns this week I’ve faced up to the fact that no matter how cute and stylish they are, brogues just aren’t for me. It’s a sad day but I know my feet will thank me in the long run for saving them pain.

The Book Edit: I absolutely devoured Six of Crows. It was SO GOOD that I was reading it on the bus, on the tube, while walking down the street and late into each night because I couldn’t put it down. As soon as I turned the last page I started Crooked Kingdom and it’s just as awesome (though a lot bigger so the bag I’ve been carrying around this week has been quite heavy!) I’m halfway through Crooked Kingdom and I’m already dreading it ending. That’s what always happens when a book is so incredible – you race through it because you can’t get enough but then, inevitably, you’re devastated when it’s over and you have a bit of a ‘book hangover’ which makes it difficult to start the next one. Please say I’m not the only one this happens to! Both books are by Leigh Bardugo and are on my February book list which can be found here.

The Screen Edit: In honour of Valentine’s Day this week I re-watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and was reminded A) how fun it is and how well Kate Hudson plays crazy, and B) how far movies and technology have come in such a short time. Granted, I was shocked to realise it came out in 2003 but it honestly looked like it was much older because of the fashions and the soft focus. We’ve grown so used to high-definition everything that it was a bit of a shock to the system!

The Blog Edit: I decided to try something new this week and so shared my very first beauty post – what did you think?! It was really fun to write so if there’s interest I’ll definitely be doing more like it in the future. I also shared my artistic flair and declared my love (yet AGAIN) for pizza….but that was same old same old now wasn’t it?

The Life Edit: I’m trying out a new place in Soho for Brunch this weekend that has the most epic waffle menu I’d ever seen so anticipating that is pretty much consuming my every waking moment. I’ll report back on how it goes!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
