The BiG Friday Edit | 4

Is it just me or did it feel like we would NEVER get here? It’s been a long cold week and I, for one, am looking forward to getting home tonight, pulling on my comfiest clothes and curling up with some popcorn and the latest Netflix offerings.

But first…

The Health Edit: After a somewhat lazy week last week I’ve come back full force – Barrecore every morning this week with another class scheduled tomorrow! I’m exhausted but feel strong so it’s a win overall…I think? My favourite class was the cardio one with Kiri on Thursday. It’s high energy throughout but there’s a bit in the middle where she cranks the music, turns off the lights and we box it out with weights. You can’t help but smile the whole way through it – it’s so fun! – and though my arms ache today it’s the good ache that tells you you worked all the right muscles.

The Shopping Edit: It’s been very quiet on the shopping front but my wish lists (Asos, Amazon and my non-Amazon web wish list) are getting out of control. I’ve saved tons of cute PJ sets like these and these and a lot of moisturising hair and skin care as this cold weather is really taking a toll! My current faves can be found hereherehere, and here.

The Book Edit: The Residence has been lingering in my TBR pile for ages but I finally pulled it out as it seemed an appropriate time to learn more about what goes on behind the doors of the White House and what happens when a new first family moves in (RE: the new first family. I can’t even. I want to not talk about it and resolve to rise above but then something else happens and rage consumes me. I’ll keep trying…) I’ve also had a read of Hitman Anders and the Meaning of It All by Jonas Jonasson. I’d read The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared and this new(ish) story is very similar in tone and progression. It’s a pleasant enough story but I think the fact that I nearly dozed off reading it on the bus suggests it wasn’t exactly riveting…

The Screen Edit: Early mornings have meant early nights for me this week so I haven’t actually watched very much. The one thing I did make time for was the premiere of Ladies of London. It’s Real Housewives for the British set and it’s brilliant! My friend Ang and I both watch it and there’s nothing I love more than receiving early morning all-caps texts from her about the ridiculous shenanigans of most recent episode. The BEST!

The Blog Edit: This is my 150th post on Blonde In Grey! This week I officially swore my love to Pizza and we wandered through a magical lantern fairytale this week on the blog. Up next week: an unexpected and exciting day out in London and a recipe for the perfect hygge-filled staycation (exactly what we all need during this deep freeze!)

The Life Edit: Twitter and the news are a black pit of despair and each new update from the US is painful. Think I may do a digital detox this weekend in order to enjoy some fresh air and allow myself to focus on all the good things in my life. Like each and every one of you who takes time out of your busy day to visit me here and read about my adventures. I can’t thank you enough!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
