The BiG Friday Edit | 2

Happy Friday 13th!

After a very busy week I’m looking forward to a fairly calm weekend. My only appointments are a Barre class tomorrow morning and afternoon tea with a friend on Sunday – though the latter will be a bit more relaxing they’ll both be fun. I’m also hoping to get a new phone this weekend as mine is nearly at the end of its life span!

In the meantime…

The Work Edit: After a fairly quiet period it seems like absolutely everyone wants to meet so I’ve spent a large part of my week on the tube going from one meeting to the next. I really don’t mind though as it’s fun to get out of the office and meet new people – keeps things interesting!

The Health Edit: Barre has been interesting this week as they’re in the midst of teacher training so each class is taught half by the normal instructor and half by the newbie. Their enthusiasm is appreciated…but a bit more guidance and a firmer grasp on lefts and rights would be helpful for those of us in 6:30am classes.

The Shopping Edit: I am SO excited that Kristen Ess is launching her own hair care line! I was first introduced to her via TheBeautyDepartment.com and was instantly a fan. Her talent is amazing and I could happily scroll her Instagram feed for hours (I know this because I have!). The products will be available on Sunday from Target.com and I’m already planning on buying about 8 of the 15 on offer. Yay for worldwide shipping!

The Book Edit: This week I finished rereading The Thirteenth Tale (epic, as always) and then absolutely devoured Techbitch by Lucy Sykes and Jo Piazza. Witty, charming and the perfect book for you if you loved The Devil Wears Prada – I couldn’t put it down!

The Screen Edit: My new obsession is Schitt’s Creek. I’m not even joking. Created by Canadian actor and genius Eugene Levy alongside his son, Dan Levy (who I will always remember as being one of the co-hosts of The Aftershow for Laguna Beach and The Hills) the premise is that the formerly filthy-rich Rose family loses everything and their only asset left over is a town they bought because the name of it made them laugh. Forced to live there and experience the alien world of Middle America they are completely out of place. Co-starring Catherine O’Hare (probably most famous as Kevin’s mom in Home Alone) the cast are absolutely brilliant and most of the belly laughs the show causes come from their classic facial expressions and unspoken conversations. Watch it. Love it. Tell me what you think!

The Blog Edit: It was so fun reliving my Edinburgh trip and sharing it with you all. If you missed it catch up here, here, here and here.

The Life Edit: It’s been a hectic week filled with friendly faces but now I’m exhausted and looking forward to recharging my batteries.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
