2016 hasn’t been a great year for the world but I’ve been fortunate enough to have some pretty fantastic experiences and so I wanted to take a moment to look back at some of my favourite moments.
2016 was the year…I started this blog! It’s been a fantastic experience so far and though the BlondeInGrey.com is still small, we’re mighty and I’m thankful for each and every one of you who takes the time to read my posts, share comments, like Instagram pics and Tweets and share my little piece of the internet with others.
2016 was the year…I finally got to the west coast and took the California road trip of my dreams. There were so many highlights (captured in all of these posts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) and I feel so lucky.
2016 was the year…I finally ‘lived like a Parisian’ with a wonderful week in the city. We covered pretty much every square inch on foot which allowed us the chance to stumble on quiet corners we otherwise never would have found. 2016 was the year…I left publishing after nearly seven years and entered the exciting world of creative consulting. It’s all still new but the challenges are exciting and it’s fantastic to be pushing myself out of my comfort zone and giving myself the opportunity to try something completely different.
2016 was the year…I started writing for RoyalCentral.co.uk. I started as a Reporter in March, was promoted to Senior Reporter in April and promoted to Chief Reporter in November. It’s fantastic fun working with the Royal Central team and being part of such a prolific and respected news site.
2016 was the year…I met royalty! I won the ticket lottery and got to attend The Patron’s Lunch on the Mall which afforded me the amazing opportunity to speak with the York sisters and get close to Prince William and my favourite public figure in the world – the Duchess of Cambridge.
2016 was the year…my love for the world of Harry Potter expanded to include The Cursed Child and all of the Fantastic Beasts.
It’s been memorable, to say the least!
