Kensington Style

It doesn’t matter how cold it gets, if the sun is shining in London you get out and about to enjoy it!

When it comes to coats I’m always on the lookout for classic tailoring and neutral colours that are versatile and easy to pair with anything in my wardrobe. With the dropping temperatures here in London I ventured out in search of a new winter coat and found it – in all its beautiful splendor – at Zara.

This black and white hounds tooth piece is a perfect marriage of form and function. Though the longer length and swathes of fabric could potentially drown a smaller frame like mine (5’2″ and proud, my friends!) the structure keeps it looking sleek and perfectly tailored.

Having bought it weeks ago I was so pleased to officially christen it as winter-ready and paired it with a monochrome look for an afternoon spent wandering through Kensington.

Outfit Details:

Zara Coat, Kate Spade Bag, Chanel Sunglasses (old), Old Navy Sweater (sold out), Asos Skinny Jeans, Nike Shoes, lululemon Scarf (old)

Hat made by my supremely talented sister.

This Mews was absolutely gorgeous with its black, white and red but we were soon ready to head onwards and see more.

We headed back towards the museums via a long, windy path through Kensington’s gorgeous hidden streets, doing some house (window) shopping along the way.

With a quick stop to take in the skaters at the Natural History Museum we hopped on a bus to Chelsea for some shopping and dinner. The perfect London Saturday and a memorable first outing for a coat that has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe.
