In France, we wear stripes…
The thing I love about the Eiffel Tower is because of its sheer size you catch unexpected glimpses of it from random angles from all across central Paris.
And seeing it up close is an experience that doesn’t disappoint!
Having been to Paris before though – and experiencing the delight of a packed elevator car to the top of the Tower – G and I decided to forego that stellar experience, opting instead for a Parisian picnic on the lawns by the gentle giant. (If, however, you’re the friendly sort and getting up close and personal with strangers from around the world is your thing…grab your tickets here. To each their own!)
Awesome view? Check! Cheese-filled baguettes? Check! French Fries? Check!
Feeling pleasantly full of carbs we strolled along the avenue taking in the Tower from different vantage points and enjoying the warmest day of our trip so far.
And, of course, we couldn’t not stop and pull some silly poses. We were tourists, after all!
(It’s clear that my jump photos need some work….here’s hoping practice will make perfect!)
